Tulane Clinical Trial Unit

Tulane Center for Clinical Research (TCCR) is part of the LA CaTS Center's Clinical Trial Unit (CTU) network. The TCCR is located in New Orleans and is a Louisiana leader in academic research. Its purpose is to provide a multifaceted platform for clinical research management. They develop, lead and complete innovative Investigator-initiated single-site and multi-center trials. Their primary objective is always supporting clinical advancements in health sciences and overall patient care. Their commitment was proven throughout the global pandemic, when TCCR was the only research center in the United States that remained consistently operational during COVID-19 pandemic.

Their potential participant population is culturally diverse, unique, and vulnerable. Through years of working in the field, TCCR has established trust within New Orleans community. They prioritize safety, transparency, and respect for every person. About 1500 Louisiana Residents trusted TCCR and joined their centralized database  - Volunteer Research Registry (VRR).

  • Highly skilled nurses (all ACLS credentialed) and coordinators, many who hold certifications through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (CCRC) and the Society of Clinical Research Associates (CCRP)
  • In-house Data Management and Statistical Analysis services
  • EPIC, Veeva Systems, REDCap integration
  • Quality management/Quality Assurance program to assure research compliance and data integrity; and
  • Proactive financial experts available on-site to design and manage research budgets.
