Grant Development Award Program

The LA CaTS Grant Development Award Program, released in Fall 2017, emphasizes preparation of grant proposals in both basic and clinical science that have clinical or translational relevance. This is a competitive application process to identify and select project development grants which will lead to subsequent competitive grant proposals to the NIH and other funding agencies, aimed at addressing health disparities and improving health outcomes in Louisiana. The overall objective of the program is to provide support so that junior and/or senior faculty can collaborate on planning and preparation for submission of interdisciplinary and innovative grant applications.

This program has an open application period every year through June 1st or until the maximum number of awards allowable have been issued. Awards are up to $5000 in total costs. Applicants must hold a PhD, M.D., or equivalent degree from any LA CaTS Center member institution.

Application details and instructions can be found here.
