Paula Jordan

Please join us in welcoming a new member of the LA CaTS Community Engagement and Outreach (CEO) Core in Baton Rouge, Ms. Paula Jordan. Paula joined Pennington Biomedical Research Center (PB) in June, and will coordinate the  Community Research for Optimal Wellness Network (CROWN), a program lead by the CEO Core.  CROWN is a statewide infrastructure of community members, health practitioners, patients, PBRNs/clinicians, advocacy groups, organizations, etc., interested in playing a more significant role in facilitating conversations between researchers and communities around activities that will improve the quality of health research in Louisiana. Paula will be part of the PB Public and Population Health Team, lead by Dr. Stephanie Broyles, to roll out this important program. 

Paula Jordan has over 15 years of experience in community outreach, relations and engagement . She has dedicated herself to working with the state’s most vulnerable populations: children, the elderly, the working poor and formerly incarcerated and justice involved individuals. She is also a trained Community Health Worker who believes that we should meet people where they are and serve them with compassion and respect. 

 Ms. Jordan holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Phoenix and a BS in Business Management from Southern University Baton Rouge. She has one daughter, Jameelah, who she is extremely proud of and she resides in Opelousas among loving and supportive friends and family.
