Ana-Maria Dragoi, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Molecular & Cellular Physiology
at LSU Health Shreveport, was recently awarded a federally funded NIH R01 grant to
study how Neisseria gonorrhoeae, the bacteria that causes the sexually transmitted

Dr. Dragoi is also a past recipient of a LA CaTS Center Pilot Grant. We congratulate
Dr. Dragoi on her success and look forward to the results of this very important study.
