Are you a primary care research professional interested in strengthening your mentoring skills and contributing to a more engaged research environment? We invite you to join the upcoming “Mentor Training for Primary Care Practice-Based Research Professionals” workshop series this fall.

This interactive training, based on the Entering Mentoring curriculum from the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, has been tailored specifically for research coordinators, managers, directors, facilitators, and other research staff working in practice-based research networks.

Originally developed for faculty research mentors and later adapted for research staff by the National Organization of Research Development Professionals (NORDP), this new version is being offered as a beta test prior to its publication.

Details:
  • Dates: September 15 – October 8, 2025
  • Schedule: Two 1.5-hour sessions per week (Mondays & Wednesdays, 1–2:30 pm CST)
  • Format: Live, interactive via Zoom
  • Commitment: Participation in at least 7 of 8 sessions required
  • Cost: Free!
  • Certificate: Participants completing the full series will receive a certificate of completion

Who Should Register:
Primary care practice-based research staff, including coordinators, facilitators, managers, and directors.

Facilitator: Kristin Boman, Co-Director of the Primary Care Research Learning Network at the University of Minnesota, Certified Entering Mentoring Facilitator with CIMER, and co-chair of the NORDP Mentor Training Subcommittee.
