LA CaTS Center Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19): Update on Events, Opportunities & Services
Released: Thursday, March 26, 2020The LA CaTS Center (IDeA-CTR) will continue to connect with our research community during this time by providing online access to meetings and educational opportunities as much as possible. However, as we plan for our CTR center operations within and between our institutional partners to be virtual for the time being, below is an update on our center events, service requests and deadlines as of March 18, 2020. We will be sure to update you on changes as they occur. Our top priority is the safety of all of our members across the state. Any questions or concerns can be sent to info@LACaTS.org.

Deadlines:
- April 30, 2020: Full Application Deadline for Pilot Grants Funding Opportunity (Round 9)-DEADLINE EXTENDED (originally April 13th)
- Visiting Scholar & Grant Development Award Applications: OPPORTUNTIES CLOSED-Unrelated to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the limit for the number of awards for the 2019-2020 opportunities have been reached. It is anticipated that the opportunities will re-open in July 2020. An announcement will be released at that time.
LA CaTS Center Services:
- SPARC: Service requests through our online request system SPARC remains OPEN at this time. Please note, the manner in which services are delivered to investigators may be changed or delayed depending on the nature of the service. Those using or planning to use LA CaTS Center Clinical Trial Units (CTUs) or Community Advisory Boards (CABs) especially, please contact those cores directly for details.

About the Louisiana Clinical and Translational Science (LA CaTS) CenterThe LA CaTS Center is comprised of three primary collaborating institutions in the state, including LSU's Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, and Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans – and also includes six research partners: LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and in New Orleans, Xavier University of Louisiana, Children’s Hospital, Ochsner Health System, Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System, and University Medical Center.
