Each year the LA CaTS Professional Development Core selects qualified clinicians and scientists into the Roadmap Scholar Program (similar to a NIH KL2). The Roadmap Scholars are early stage faculty members whose goals are to become sustainable independent researchers. The potential scholars submitted an application, and went through a competitive review and interview process. The Professional Development Core Leaders and Research Navigator play a crucial role in guidance and the overall program, along with the Scholars' mentors. The Scholars began courses on July 1st in the Masters of Science in Clinical Research Program at Tulane University.
This year, we are pleased to annouce a Roadmap Scholar Award from LSU Health Shreveport for the first time. This is truly a testiment to the ongoing progress and collaboration of the LA CaTS Center network across the state.
Please join us in welcoming the 13th Cohort of LA CaTS Roadmap Scholars!
