Michael Hoerger, Ph.D, M.S.C.R a clinical health psychologist and decision scientist at Tulane University, conducts research aimed at supporting quality of life in adults with cancer. He is particularly interested in increasing utilization of palliative care, a multidisciplinary service for patients with advanced cancer or serious symptoms that is designed with the goal of supporting quality of life.

Dr. Hoerger is a past LA CaTS Center Roadmap Scholar recipient, completing the program in 2016. His research on the effect of outpatient palliative care on survival duration and quality of life in advanced cancer patients was recently highlighted by Tulane.
