The Pennington NORC is pleased to announce a Pilot and Feasibility Grant Program (the full text of the Application Instructions is attached or can be found here as a PDF under Related Files). This program is intended to provide research support to test innovative hypotheses from individuals or multidisciplinary teams involving nutrition/obesity-related research. This research should involve some aspect of nutrient absorption, nutrient metabolism, cellular nutrient sensing or signaling, intervention/treatment response, and genetic aspects of nutrition-related chronic diseases.
The program enables investigators to generate a sufficient body of preliminary information for a successful application for major research funding from NIH or other national granting agencies.
- Letter of Intent due: July 30, 2017
- Invitation to present: August 22, 2017 (Chosen LOI will present (see RFA for Instructions)
- Full Application Deadline: October 9, 2017 (for those selected after LOI presentation)
- Funding Available: $170,000 [2 - 5 proposals will be funded]
- Submission: Apply through the Pennington NORC P&F web portal
